Dallas Area Meat, etc. Deals: 2/23-3/1

In the Dallas area, there are a few Hispanic grocery store chains.  I have found these places to have outstanding prices on meat and produce.  The deals had been pretty scarce at these places through the winter, but I recall them being great last spring.  I am happy to see the warmer weather bringing back the lower prices again. ;)

Here are the best deals I see at the three stores I get ads from.  I will provide links to their store finders so you can see if there is one near you.

Fiesta:
Tyson Whole Fryers  $0.67/lb
Tilapia Fillets    $3.69/lb
Fryer Breast Quarters   $1.19/lb
Pork Spare Ribs        $1.19/lb
Fryer Drumsticks    $0.49/lb (Thursday Friday only)
Cantaloupes     $0.99 each

El Rio Grande:
Pork End Chops  $1.00/lb  (no limit, with $10 purchase)
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts  $1.00/lb  (no limit, with $10 purchase)

Pork Stew Meat (boneless and bone-in mixed)  $0.98/lb

30 ct Eggs.  $1.98  (limit 2 with $10 additional purchase)
5lb. bag of Russet Potatoes    $0.88 each
Avocados  8 for $1
Tangerines  12 for $1
Marinated Chicken Leg Quarters  $0.99/lb
Green Cabbage  2 lbs for $0.98
Yellow Onions  3 lbs for $1
Head Lettuce  $0.99 each
Yams  $0.59/lb
Large Mangos 2 for $1.09
Grapefruit  4 for $1

I know that Fiesta takes coupons, but does not double them.  The other two I do not know about, but I will try to find out.  I have found the unadvertised items at these places to be very high, so I usually do not buy anything else while I am at these places.  I have actually never been inside of El Rio Grande, but I've had my husband stop on his way home from work. ;)

If you live in the Dallas area, please let me know if this type of combined post is helpful for you.  I would like to continue to provide this information in this way instead of three separate posts.

I could definitely use some of those cheap avocados:) I would probably burn up the savings in gas though:)

don't be too jealous. I have found these pretty small and often overripe. I haven't been there yet to check on there but last spring I walked away from them as often as I bought them. The ones at Aldi are much better quality. I'm hoping they start going on sale there soon. My husband loves them!
