CVS Trip 6/5: Saved 91% and How

If you are new to couponing, this might be a great week to give CVS a try.  Many of the coupons I used came from this morning's newspaper.

Here is what I got (then I will tell you how):

Total Shelf Price:  $43.20
Total Sale Price:   $31.26
*Used  $5/$30 purchase coupon (received by email)  Always hand these over first (otherwise your total may not meet the requirement).
*Used FREE 5ct. Zyrtec Coupon ($6.99).   Tip:  I bought the Zyrtec to get my total above $30, but the whole price deducted with the FREE coupon.  This is a great way to meet the price to use these $/$$ coupons and keep your cost low.
*Used BOGO Powerade printable (no longer available).
*Used $1/2 Fuze from 4/10 SS
*Used $2/1 Pull-Ups (Home mailer)
*Used $2/1 Crest Rinse from 6/5 PG
*Used $0.75/1 Ban from 6/5 SS
*Used $0.75/1 Colgate 360 Toothbrush from 6/5 SS

  Price After Coupons:  $12.77

Then, Used $7.99 in ECBs from last trip (two weeks ago).

Price Paid OOP After ECBs:  $3.78 + tax = $3.94    91% Savings!

And, I got back $10 in ECBs to use next time!  ($2 each from Pull-ups, Mouthwash, Ban, Colgate, and drinks)

If you have never shopped at CVS before, the best time to begin is when many of the items giving back ECBs have a coupon to match with them (as many this week do!) to reduce your initial OOP expense (next time you will have some ECBs to use!!).  Also, those $/$$ purchase coupons help reduce your initial OOP cost as well.  If you have never registered your Extra Care Card, go HERE to do so, and they will email you a $4/$20 to get you started!

Do you plan to shop at CVS this week?  I'd love to hear about it!
