Reminder: Food On The Table--FREE Site That Helps You Plan Meals From Current Local Sales For Maximum Savings!

I posted this a few weeks ago, but I wanted to share it with you again in case anyone missed it because I just LOVE this site!

I have really been struggling in the meal planning area.  It has been one of my goals to get back into that habit, and it has not yet happened.  But, I was reminded today about this FREE site called Food On The Table. (Thanks Thrifty Texas Penny!)

I had heard about this site several months back, and even posted about it...then I kinda forgot all about it.  I was doing a ton of freezer cooking back then, and planning my menus by what was in my freezer, so it really wasn't all that relevant to me at that time.

Now, I've been doing more shopping the sales each week (and trying to double/triple recipes here and there along the way to freeze), and I think this site will be really useful to me in that aspect.

When you log in, you tell it what store you plan to shop at.  It will then ask you what main ingredients you wish to use (along with their current prices at that store).  If you've already looked over your sale ad, you probably already have a good idea of what's on sale and worth stocking up on.

Once you pick your meats, etc. it will give you some recipe options based on other items that are on sale at that store.  You pick the recipes you wish to prepare, and it will make a shopping list for you!  All for FREE! How easy is that?  You just print it and take it to the store!

I can't wait to give this another go as I'm preparing to shop this week (I'm aiming for Friday perhaps).  I will report back again on how it goes after I've thoroughly tried it out in my meals planning.

If you would like to try it out, just click on the green button above to get started!
