I'll Be Back This Evening

There are a lot of internet sites that are going on strike today for various amounts of time (most from 8am-8pm EST) because of the proposed bills SOPA and PIPA  (here's a non-legalese explaination of why).  In a nut-shell, they are meant to stop acts of piracy and copyright infringement over the internet, but would more easily lend themselves to censoring and policing all internet content (and permanently shutting down sites they fill are in violation) than fulfilling their intended purpose.

Now, since I use the Blogger platform to publish my page, I do not have access to the plugin that people are using to "black out" their sites today.

My original plan was to wake up early, get the grocery ad match-ups all typed and posted  (something that could potentially become illegal to do if these bills pass with the way they are vaguely worded right now), and then cease posting for the rest of the day.

However, you will notice the grocery ad match-ups are NOT posted yet.  That is because this morning, my internet decided to go on strike for about 2 hours.

Since my children will be getting up in about 5 minutes, and I do wish to show my support of stopping these bills, I will not be scrambling to get them posted by 10 this morning as I normally do.

I will leisurely work on them throughout the day, and schedule them to post later on this evening.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.  I do not usually get political, or really pay much attention to politics in general, but this is something I feel I have today because it would affect the way we all use and have access to the internet.
