Organization Update: Mom's Gone Now + This Week's Goals
I told you last week that my mother was in town, so I wasn't going to set any specific organizing goals for myself. I was right to do that because we were not home much, and so now that she's gone, I don't feel like I am falling behind on things that I need to do.
I've always had a problem with piling too many things on my plate and then feeling overwhelmed and defeated when I don't get to all of them, but I'm really working on being more realistic with my expectations for myself, so I think that just recognizing the need to not have anything to do is a success as far as that is concerned.
I did get some things done last week, though! We went to Old Navy and used my Groupons, did a lot of grocery shopping, and I even reorganized and refolded all the clothes in my daughters' dressers, and we can close the drawers once more!
This week it's time to get back to business. There are still a few things around here that did not get done the week after Christmas that are seriously needing to be done, so here are a few things I want to do this week, in no particular order:
- Put Christmas Away (it has been moved into the garage...my husband simply lifted the decorated tree and carried it out there....so I need to box up and put away the ornaments and he needs to put it all up in the attic.
- Deep Clean Master Bathroom/Straighten Our Bedroom
- Clean Up Backyard
- Organize Clipped Coupons (I have cut out my printed ones, but I need to put them away.)
