Yesterday's Shopping: Tom Thumb & Aldi

Yesterday, while my younger daughter napped and my MIL packed and my poor worn out husband napped, my older girl and I went and did a little grocery shopping.

Our first stop (unless you count the garage sale, but we didn't find anything), was Tom Thumb.  I was running pretty low on cereal, and they had some nice in-ad coupons on cereal this week, so I went in just to grab a few boxes of that and stock back up.

Total Shelf Price:  $14.26
Total Sale Price:  $7.74   (already 46% Savings)
Price Paid After Coupons:   $5.24  63% Savings

Then we went in Aldi, mostly for milk and produce.  They had some awesome produce prices this week!

I only spent $22.31 on everything pictured above.   My favorite deals were the tomatoes (4 pack) and zucchini (3 pack) for just $0.49 each.

I sliced the zucchini up into sticks as soon as I got home and poured some Italian dressing over it and let it sit in the fridge, then we tossed them onto the grill alongside our burgers last night.  Yum!
