Freezer Fruit Cups

This past weekend, I have some fruit that needed to be used up, and I've been wanting to try these out, so I did!  They were very easy to put together, and you can use just about any fruit you wish!

You place the fruit into muffin cups, freezer them in the muffin tin, and then pop them out and bag them up, and store then in the freezer.

Here I've used pineapple, mango, strawberry, and kiwi.  I added just a bit of water to hold them together, but you could also use juice, honey, water with the sweetener of your choice.   I love these because they are very flexible, and will be a nice warm weather treat!

They were super simple to put together, too.

You can eat them frozen, like a popsicle, or you can thaw them in a bowl and eat it like a fruit cup.   I was thinking that they would even be pretty handy to toss into a blender with some juice and whip up a  quick smoothie!

Plus, its a simple way to use up fruit that is nearing its end, or fruit that you happen to come across in the markdown bin that is almost past it's prime, so it saves money, too--or at least keeps from wasting the money you've already spent!

What would be your perfect fruit combination if you were to make these?

I never would have thought of this! Great idea, thanks for sharing!

Can't remember how I found your blog, but I am really enjoying your freezer cooking posts!
