Garage Sale Finds 4/14

One more quick post while my veggies are cooking.  After we went to Aldi this morning, we went back out for a little ride because we had seen a few garage sale signs.  My daughter who will be 5 next month absolutely loves garage sale and begs me to stop anytime she sees one, so I thought we would go and just see what was out there this morning before it was time for lunch.

Here is what I found for my girls:

Two nice shirts for my oldest girl for $0.50 each.  We just found out that she will not have to wear school uniforms next year so now we have more freedom where the clothing is concerned.  That and she has a thing for horses.  She also picked out that adorable pair of flip flops that just happened to be her sister's size.  They were in perfect shape and cost just $1.

Then I found a couple things for myself:

I got a nice thick knee length khaki skirt and a really nice dress..it's been a very long time since I've gotten a new dress.  It's actually navy with diagonal white pinstripes that you can't see.  Both of these cost me just $1 each, and that dress was from the Limited, so I don't even want to know how much it originally cost!  Also, the size tag had been cut out, so I no clue what size it was, but I tried them on when I got home and both fit me perfectly. =)

All of this cost me $4 total, and just a drive around my neighborhood.  People sell things all the time that are in perfect condition for incredible prices.  I would much rather score an awesome deal on something nice while at the same time helping out a neighbor than pay retail prices for these things and have my money go to some big corporation.
