Dishing It Up Recipe Hop: 5 Ingredients Recipes--Roasted Garlic Potatoes
Everyone is trying to find ways to save on meals these days. One of the easiest ways to save is to make simple recipes that use only a handful of inexpensive ingredients.
This week our recipe hop will be focusing on recipes with 5 ingredients or less. These are easy on the wallet because you do not need much to make them, but for that same reason, they are also easy to put together in a pinch because the fewer ingredients you need, the more likely it is that you already have them at home.
The recipe I want to share with you today is one for Roasted Garlic Potatoes. My husband first found this recipe on the Olive Garden website, but we ordered them when we went once, and they are definitely better homemade! ;)
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
- PRE-HEAT oven to 450ºF.
- WASH and dry potatoes. *Do not peel*
- Cut into wedges and place in a large mixing bowl. Toss potatoes in oil, melted butter, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper.
- TRANSFER seasoned potatoes onto sheet tray. Roast for 25-30 minutes. Shake pan occasionally for even roasting.
- SERVE immediately.
We have made this recipe numerous times. I have tried it with whatever type of potatoes happened to be on sale at the moment (or happened to be aging in my pantry) and they are all wonderful. I do think that the red potatoes taste the best, but I happen to be a bit biased towards red potatoes in general.
I also think that they came out the best when we had a rosemary plant (R.I.P) and used fresh cut rosemary.
I hope you enjoy this recipe. If you try it, let me know how it turns out!
