Kroger Trip 10/13 74% Savings
I took longer at Target yesterday than I expected, so I didn't get to go to Kroger in the morning as planned. I had some coupons they had sent me for FREE products that were expiring on Sunday, so I wanted to use them.
I forgot my husband was off last night from his second job, and I got a call from the library that a book was ready to be picked up, so I went out yesterday evening by myself to get my book and go to Kroger. I also still had about $13.xx of pharmacy credit remaining on my card.
I don't have time to do a complete price break down, but *most* of the coupons I used came from my Kroger home mailer.
Here is everything I got (click to enlarge):
Total Shelf Price: $86.59
Price Paid After Coupons and Pharmacy Credit: $22.21 74% Savings
I think my favorite deal I found (I just happened to still have the coupons with my from when I went to Target) was the Schick Razors. I did not buy them at Target because they were $6.97 each. I had the $6/2 printable (no longer available), so I would have still paid $8 for both packs.
Well as I was wandering around at Kroger, I happened to notice that their razors were only $6.33 (less that Target!) PLUS they were on sale BOGO FREE! That means I would pay $6.33 for BOTH, then deduct $6 using my coupon for a total of $0.33 paid for two 12 packs of razors! That is less than 2 cents per razor.
But it gets even better, because both of the packs that I grabbed have a voucher in them for $5 worth of FREE Rhapsody MP3 downloads. So, my virtually free razors made me $10 worth of FREE music. You can't beat that! =D
I also stocked up on Kroger brand salad dressing at $1/bottle because we were completely out and it's been a long time since I've been able to get dressing that cheap. It's $1.29 for a smaller bottle at Aldi, even.
Did you snag any great grocery deals this week?
