Shopping Trip 10/18: El Rancho And Tom Thumb
After returning from my retreat this weekend, today I realized that all of the sales ended today. There were quite a few things that I wanted to pick up from El Rancho, and I wanted to take advantage of the juice deal going on at Tom Thumb.
At El Rancho, I intended to get a few produce items, as well as some chicken breasts and pork stew meat. When I got there, the meat did not look up to par, so I decided to not purchase any. I did, however, find a few more great produce deals, and stocked up on some beans, as well as the cheap rice they had advertised. And, of course I couldn't resist fresh warm tortillas. =)
Here is what I got at El Rancho:
For all of this I paid just $26.60.
After this, I stopped by Tom Thumb. I had decided that I wanted to make some breakfast burritos for the freezer with my large tortillas, so I added some shredded cheese and breakfast sausage to my cart while I was there, along with the cheap lettuce.
Here's what I picked up at Tom Thumb:
Total Shelf Price: $41.68
Total Sale Price: $21.91 (Already 47% Savings)
Price Paid After Coupons: $16.32 61% Savings
I spend right at $43 total today, only used 6 coupons, and I feel like I got a whole lot of food for that amount. Now I need to think about what to do with it all!
