Are You Seeing My Posts?
I love facebook! I love interacting with you guys on my facebook page, and quite honestly, I have the largest number of "followers" on my facebook page. Facebook is a great way to stay in touch with all of your favorite pages, and I follow all of my favorite blogs on facebook so I can see their posts in real time.
However, facebook has been making a lot of changes lately. It seems they think they know better than we do what we'd actually like to see in our feed! And they are randomly picking and choosing what gets shown to us and what does not.
I've been experimenting with different ways of posting items on my facebook page, and then looking at the number of impressions facebook tells me that post has gotten (that means how many of your newsfeeds they actually decided to put it in), and any way I try to post, only about 10% of my over 5000 fans are seeing my posts. I've tried and tried to make sure my content gets to everyone, but facebook just seems to be working against us bloggers these days. =(
There are a couple things you can do about this:
- If you do happen to see my posts in your feed, like it or comment on it (maybe even favorite it or mark it as a top post--those are a couple new options on facebook). Facebook seems to judge what you want to see in your newsfeed by what you have the most interaction with, so liking things and commenting on things will make those people/pages more likely to show up for you! You can also read this post on how to get your feed back in chronological order (I still think I'm missing things though--Thanks to Happy Lil' Homemaker for the article).
- Subscribe to get my posts in a daily email! I try not to post items on my blog that are going to no longer be valid when my emails go out (like limited supply coupons/samples-I usually just share those on facebook), so you won't be getting an email full of expired offers. If you want to make sure you see all of my posts and can read them at your convenience, fill out the form below (and then click the link in the confirmation email):
