Albertsons Trip 12/13 57% Savings, But Should Be Higher!
I planned to go to Albertsons yesterday (i.e., not wait until the last minute), but all us were sick and felt like crud. I even kept my daughter home from school and they made a pallet in front of the TV and watched Christmas cartoons on Netflix.
I'm still not feeling the greatest, but I did not want to miss this sale! I made myself gather up my coupons last night this time instead of waiting until morning, so that we could get out of the house and get back home before we were hungry. So tempting to grab fast food when we're heading home at lunch time.
Here's what I got at Albertsons today:
Total Shelf Price: $95.55
Total Sale Price: $64.65
Price Paid After Coupons: $41.48 57% Savings
But now I have a conundrum, because I just noticed that three of my frozen vegetables rang up $2.50 instead of $1 (I must have grabbed the wrong variety--I thought I had the plain mixed vegetables, but I have the kind with asparagus!), and 5 of my Spagettios rang up $1.29 instead of $1. That's an extra $5.95 that I paid, when I should have only paid $35.53.
I've got so much packing and cleaning to do before we leave on Friday, that I really don't have the time to go back over there and dispute it. What would you do? Is $6 really worth the time and gas?

I would call them and explain the problem and the situation. Ask if you can contact the manager you are talking to, with your receipt, at a later date to correct the overring and vegetable exchange. You may have to return tomorrow, but at least not today.
Good luck. PJ
How frustrating! Since the veggies didn't ring wrong,(the pkgs do look alike),I think I'd leave that alone. I'm not a fan of thinking food was returned, then resold. However, you could exchange the Spaghettios (or get a price adjustment) after you get back. Don't let it ruin your birthday and weekend trip, whatever you decide!
I agree with Kathy. And I definitely wouldn't let it ruin your weekend. Hope you feel better soon!
Hopefully it's all been worked out by now, but yeah it's worth the $6 and chances are they'll be willing to correct it tomorrow. Remember your hubby has to make $9 or $10 before you'll have $6 to spend at the store (after taxes, SS, Medicaid and tithe)
I agree with all of you, and if I didnt feel so dang bad i would surely have gone back over there. But at the moment it was hard enough getting there the first time. My husband even said it wasn't worth it, so this time I'm letting it go. I've learned to pick my battles. =)
