Weekly Goals
I'm trying to get things back to normal around here after having 2 1/2 solid weeks of houseguests. Don't get me wrong, I love having guests over. It gets pretty boring around here with only a toddler to talk to, and we do so miss our family. We are overjoyed when they are able to visit.
But, having extra people around does tend to make things get chaotic, and when one of them has to be hospitalized, things tend to spiral out of control....or maybe it's just me? ;)
Whatever the reason, I became completely unorganized last week. I never even got a menu plan made, and I ended up floundering around at dinner time each night, sometimes picking up fast food, and most of the time grateful for my stash of freezer meals already prepared. Those were truly a blessing these past few weeks, and now it's time to restock!
It's also time to complete some tasks that I planned to get done, but for obvious reasons had to get put on a back burner.
I *did* finally get my plants moved to larger pots...just yesterday, though.
My goals for this week include:
- Organize my recipe binder (I've still not even begun on this one).
- Finish going through my clothes (I went though my shirts and dresses yesterday, but I've still got my pants to sort through.)
- Clean my desk. Yes, even the drawers and cabinet, and the slide out tray that is bogged down with "important documents".
- Keep up with the laundry/dishes. (I'm still doing very well with this! Yay!)
- Keep up with email. I've decided that my email has gotten out of hand. Not necessarily my blog email, but my "junk" email, and the account that I share with my husband that is linked to my facebook account. This morning I went in under my app list on facebook and denied them permission to email me, so that should take care of most of those. I intend to unsubscribe from at least two newsletters that I never read everyday in my hotmail account, which should help get that under control.
- I cooked a ham yesterday, and purchased 7lbs. for chicken split breasts last week. I need to prepare meals with those and eat/get them into the freezer. I'm working on a menu plan for the week built around that.

Good for you getting your email account under control. It seems like a never-ending battle for me!
