K-Mart's Big Layaway Giveaway

I know that summer has just ended, and fall just begun, but it seems like folks are getting into the Holiday spirit earlier and earlier these days!   Just this morning my daughter was browsing the toys in the sale ads and making of list of her desires.
Christmas can be a rough time of year financially on everyone.  There are gifts to purchase, gas costs if traveling, and often less pay if jobs are closed.
If your kids are the type that like to plan well in advance, then Layaway may be a good option for you.   Layaway allows you to lock in a low sale price on an item, and pay for it in installments over a few month's time.  This may sound similar to purchasing an item on credit (which I don't recommend), but there are no interest fees involved with layaway, so it is a better option.
Unlike many stores, K-Mart offers free layaway on all merchandise all year long.

There is not a K-Mart store in my town, but there was one in the town I grew up in, and even though my mother worked at another major discount retailer all my life, and still does, we frequented K-Mart for many items.
If there was a K-Mart in my city, I would consider their layaway program for my holiday gifts purchases.
Perhaps I would even add a gift for myself (since I killed mine *sniff*)
