Garden Update
It has been a long time since I posted about my garden. But, it is finally being productive. =) I took these pictures a few days back, and I have since picked 3 whole green beans and a handful of peas (and weeded..lol), and there is about that same amount that should be ready to pick tomorrow. Not a lot, I know, but it is fun, and my daughter loves watching the plants grow. She can't wait until there are enough green beans to cook them.
My green beans.
Sugar peas.
Cantaloupe blooms. No fruit yet, and praying the birds and squirrels don't eat them all this time around. Anyone have tips to stop that?
Something already ate my poor broccoli. =(

Your garden looks great! We have just gotten some of ours going as well (i'm in easternNC). My son loves taking care of the plants. Tomatoes, cucumbers & squash so far. I have my haybales almost ready to go and have to decide what else we need to plant. I like haybale gardening...not too much weeding! :)
Thanks for looking at my post. Sadly this was last years garden, and that is about all it ever did. =( I've got some plants in pots this year but none in the ground, and I haven't blogged about them. Our soil here is awful, and I'm planning on working on some composting this year and perhaps be able to plant in the ground and have more luck next year. I'm intrigued by this hay bale idea though!
