Menu Plan 2/6-2/12
For the first time since I resumed making a menu plan a few weeks back, I actually stuck to in for the entire week last week. I've still got quite a few meals in the freezer, but I'm running out of variety, and I also have a bunch of meats in the freezer, so I'm going to do a bit of cooking this week.
I will be making meals twice in my crockpot, planning to have leftovers the next night, and I should still be able to freeze at least one meal from it also. Then I will pull meals from the freezer on the other three days. I hope to be able to make a habit of this cooking schedule, so that each week I am putting about the same number of meals into the freezer as I'm taking out.
Here's the plan:
Monday: Beef & Barley Soup (recipe coming later in the week)
Tuesday: Leftovers (then freeze the rest)
Wednesday: BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
Thursday: Turkey Pot Pie
Friday: Roast & Gravy
Saturday: Leftovers (Freeze the rest)
Sunday: Spaghetti

Would love to see your beef n barley recipe; I've been trying to find a soup recipe along those lines.
Putting in and pulling out of the freezer at the same time is a wonderful idea! I'm actually working on making a schedule to do the same thing. Good luck!

I've never made the soup before, and it's in the crockpot right now! Assuming all goes well I'll be posting it shortly! =)
