New Years Goal: Earning More!

I have a goal in the coming year to try to earn more money through my online activities.  If you'd like to make that a goal as well, now is the time to get started!

I'm including below some sites that I've been earning through, and if you are interested in any of them, just click the picture to register.

I have a dedicated Making Money page on my site, but I've found some new sites, and some of them are no longer working, so I'm going to replace the list on that page with this new list for future reference.

Brand New Survey Site: OneOpinion

I've just come across a brand new survey company!  I really thought I knew of all of them that were out there, but I'd not heard of this one before, so I signed up!

One thing I like is that you automatically get a $5 sign-up bonus.  Once you validate your email address and take (or at least take a screener for) your first survey, you move up from new member to bronze level, at which point you can begin earning money.  The site does not specify what is required to move up to silver, gold, and platinum levels (all free, just based on activity level), but it does say that special privileges become unlocked when you reach those levels, so I'm interested to see what those are.

Once you reach $25 in your account, you can cash out for a pre-paid Visa card.  That's pretty handy, since you can use those just about anywhere!

If you'd like to give this new site a try with me, simply click on the image above to sign up and get started (remember to check your email and click the link they send!).

One of my goals for this month is to get back into taking surveys again (instead of just deleting all my survey emails that I receive daily).  I want to actually take a few surveys until a qualify for at least one.  Then I will be making at least a little bit of money everyday from surveys.  I intend to share with you which surveys are paying me and how much as I go along, so stay tuned!

Survey Site: Valued Opinions

Here is another survey site that I use and love.  They actually tell you a monetary value for the surveys you take instead of points.  I like that. ;)

Click the image above if you'd like to sign up with them and begin earning cash for your opinions!

Also, don't forget about Toluna,  MySurvey  (My favorite!), Mindfield, and Ipsos that I've told you about in the past few weeks!

Happy survey taking!

What's your favorite site?  Where have you earned money from so far?

Survey Site: Global Test Market (One On My Faves!)

Today I just found out that Global Test Market is looking for new members.  This is one of my favorite survey sites!

It takes a bit longer to reach their payout, as it is $50, but when you do reach it, that is a nice chunk of extra cash in your mailbox!

I have personally been paid 4 times by them (and I'm halfway to a 5th...though I don't have nearly as much time for surveys these days), I've done several product tests for them, and several online focus groups which paid out in points equal to $20, so those helped reach payout quickly!

They have been in business since 1999, and are a very reputable company and work with many major brands (I can't say who....that's all very hush hush LOL).

It would would like to participate in their surveys and earn rewards for your opinions, you can register here.

Let me know if you try it out!

Lot's Of New Things On My "Pages"

This afternoon I have been very busy making a ton of changes and adding a plethora (yes, I just like using that word) of new content to my "pages" up in the top right corner.  These pages contain helpful info and links to pages of interest, and they are always right up top and easy to find.

Since I have made soo many changes today, and since I have so many new fans lately, I thought I would go through and let you all know what pages are listed on my blog and what type of information you will be able to find on each page.

Home:   This link will, of course, get you back to my starting page and the most recent offers if you find yourself lost. ;)

Getting Started:  This page has a brief overview of my thoughts on couponing in general, why is it helpful, and how to get the most out of it.  I intend to add to this page to make it much more helpful in the near future.

Coupons:  This page contains a list of sites where you can find coupons, or info about coupons, on the internet.  I used to have a separate page for printable coupons and e-coupons, but I have combined these into a single page.  I have also added the Sunday Coupon Preview banner at the bottom, so all things coupons are  now consolidated onto this one page.

Free Samples & Deals:  This page contains a listing of many sites that either continually offer samples/free items, or are currently offering free samples or specials that I think may be of interest to you.  These will be changing often, so if you find one that is not working please let me know so I can take it down, and check back often.

Daily Deal Sites:  This page has a small (for now) listing of sites that offer Daily Deals, such as Groupon, etc.  Sites like this seem to be popping up left and right, so I will be adding many more to this page soon.

Making Money:  This page contains links to many different sites where you can make a *little* extra spending money from home.  Most of the ones I currently have listed are online survey companies that offer you cash/points or other incentives for your opinions, and you can occasionally have the opportunity to test full sized products and give your opinion of them before they hit the stores.  I also have a couple of paid to search, etc sites such as Swagbucks listed, and a category that I am just starting for Cash Back shopping.  I hope to add much more to this page soon also.

Lastly, there is my Contact Me page.  It badly needs an update as well, but the email listed is correct if you would ever like to contact me for any reason.  I will soon be adding my facebook profile and twitter profile to that page if you prefer to contact me at those.  Until then, I have buttons on my let sidebar that will take you to those places. =)

So, now that you know those are up there and what to find under each tab, feel free to have a look around and see what's new!  Feel free to use that contact me page and let me know what you think or what you would like to see more of!

One Of My Favorite Survey Companies: My Survey

A great way to earn a little extra income online is by taking online surveys.  I have been registered with many survey companies for a number of years.  MySurvey.com is probably on of my favorite online survey companies.

It is completely free to sign up, and they do not bombard you with surveys.  I get maybe 3-4 survey invitations each week.  If I do not have time to do them right away, they are always available in my account, and they usually do not fill up right away like some of the other companies' surveys do.  They are also usually a good fit for me (sometimes they ask for my husband or daughter's opinion as well), but even if I do not qualify to complete a survey, I still am rewarded with points, usually 5.  If you do qualify, it will tell you how much longer the survey will take as well as how many additional points you will earn.  I have gotten several opportunities to test and keep full sized products through this company, as well.  Those are my favorite!

They have recently restructured the points system.  In the past 1,000 points was equal to $10, and when you reached that level you could get paid by check or paypal.  Now they have added many more options, including gift cards to many places.  I currently have 1005 points in my account, almost to the 1100 I need to redeem a $10 gift card.  My options are Amazon.com, Paypal, several restaurants, and CVS, among other places!

If you are interested in signing up with MySurvey.com, you can do so HERE.

Let me know if you decide to give it a try!

5/9: Kroger Mega Sale Trip 70% Savings

I have had a pretty busy week.  I wanted to get to Kroger last Friday, but it just didn't happen.  Even this morning I wasn't done making my list and gathering up my coupons, so I worked on that off and on all day, and went out shopping by myself when my husband got home.  He even made dinner while I shopped. =)

The store was pretty crowded, but they actually had just about everything I was looking for in stock.  I got three sets of Mega Sale items, and a few other things that I had coupons for that would double.

Here is everything I came home with tonight (click to enlarge):

Total Shelf Price:  $107.31
Total Sale Price:   $84.05 (before Mega Sale Savings)
Sale Price After Mega Sale deducted $15:   $69.05
Price Paid After Coupons:  $32.96 including tax for savings of  70%.  And that is including a $3.99 pack of cold drinks and a $5.49 pack of diapers!!  Woo!

This trip totally made up for my disappointments last night!  Want to hear the best part?  None of this actually came out of my grocery budget!  I paid for it with a $50 prepaid Visa debit card that came in the mail today.  It was a payment from an online survey session that I took a couple weeks ago through 20/20 Research.  If you are looking for some extra ways to earn online and supplement your families income, this is a good one to sign up with.  I don't get many email requests from them, but the ones I do get are usually well worth my time. This $50 payment was actually for a 20 minute one-on-one webcam session in the evening sitting on my couch!

Some of the highlights from my trip:
--6 Free boxes of Ronzoni Pasta
--2 Free bags of shredded cheese. If you got the FREE coupon from Kraft First Taste, use it now during the BOGO sale to get two for free!
--3 Free Safeguard Soaps (for my uncle!  They are his fav.)  One sale $1, used 3 $1/1 from 5/1 PG.
--Free floss if you have any more of the $1/1 Reach floss printables (no longer available).
--3 $0.19 packs of Mahatma rice  $1.19- $0.50/1 from 5/1 SS (doubled)
--2 $0.34 Sunny D  $0.89- $0.55/1 Printable (no longer available)
--4 cereal for $4.95 total used one $0.50/1 from 4/17SS and $2/3 from 5/1 Pepsico.
--Baby swiss cheez its for $1.25/box after $1/1 printables
--Heinz Vinegar for $0.69 each after $0.50/1 printables that expired today (they doubled)

If you have questions about the price of other items in the picture, just leave a comment and ask.  I had FREE coupons for several of the items that happened to be included in the Mega Sale.  One of them is actually for a review and giveaway that I will be posting soon.  Any guesses about what it will be?

In The Mail 5/6

I had a pretty exciting mailbox day today.

Here is what I got:

--Free packet of tomato seeds from Red Robin
--Free sample of Clean and Clear Body Wash
--Free Coupon from Yoplait Kids yogurt
--$50 check for participating in an online community from an online survey site. (Is it bad that I honestly do not remember which one?)

I tell you this just to say that sometimes these can be very worthwhile!  I have gotten into local taste tests through online surveys before, even when the survey itself had no indication of any type of payment.  I don't have nearly as much time to take surveys now as I used to, but I still skim through my email and see if any interest me.  Sometimes I luck out!

I also received one more package in my mail today that I will be sharing with you very shortly.  I am very excited about it, and I'm sure you will be too...;)

Survey Site: MindField

I have briefly written about taking online surveys in the past as another way to make a bit of extra cash or earn amazon certificates or other prizes.  I want to begin sharing some specific sites with you.  These are all sites that I have used and been paid by in the past.

Today, I thought I would begin with a site called MindField.  I chose this site because it was fresh in my mind since I was just able to request a check for $12 from them this morning.

While you will not get rich taking online surveys, I think they are fun, and at time I have even gotten to test out products in my home, and those types of studies always have higher payments.

Mindfield will send you emails fairly often.  Once you answer a few qualifying questions, if you qualify and complete the survey, the money you earn will show up in your account within a few weeks.  The cashout level is only $5 at this site, as opposed to $10 or even $50 at some other sites I've used.  You are able to select either a check mailed to you or a paypal deposit as a form of payment.

I like that this site actually still uses actual currency values, so you know what you are actually earning.  Many sites have now switched over to a points based system and it can be a little confusing to know how much you are actually earning for your time.

This site has also just switched to a new email form that actually shows you your current account balance on the side bar of the email.  This is a wonderful feature because often you forget to go back and check to see if your money has hit your account and it just sits there unclaimed.  That is what happened to me, and today my survey email let me know that I was able to request a check, so I did!

If you would like to start earning a little bit of extra spending money by taking online surveys, Mindfield is a great place to start.  Click HERE to register for free and start earning cash and testing new products in exchange for your opinions.

I will try to share a new panel with you each day as I am able, and I will add them to my Making Money Online page for future reference.

A Survey Site That Has Paid Me

Survey Savvy is an internet based survey company that sends out survey invitations by email.  I get invitations regularly from them.  I may or may not qualify, but if I do I receive the payment as stated in the email.  You are able to cash out once your account reaches $10 and they will mail you a check.  If you would like to register with them and try it out, go here.  I will add this information under my making money tab as well, so you can always find it in the future.  If you sign up, let me know what you think!

Something New I'm Trying

I have been scouring the web lately in search of legitimate work at home opportunities that do not cost me money up front and do not involve me trying to convince anybody to buy anything.  You see, I'm just not the selling things to people type.  But the reason I've been looking is because my husband, who is a teacher, had an evening position teaching credit recovery classes through his school district last year.  Actually, he was let go from that position at the end of February, but started getting called in to sub, and was actually there every single night in April (he only worked two nights a week while he was on the payroll!).  The evening school has had to cut back on full time positions, so the one he thought would be opening up-the one he was considering accepting-is getting cut too.  It's not like he's getting fired, but we are unsure how we will manage on only his day salary.

All that being said, I still know that he will get called in to sub on occasion, but I know it would help if I were able to supplement our income.  However, we've decided that me getting a traditional job in the evenings would not be of any help to him, because then he would be babysitting and not able to make his lesson plans.  I also may not be able to keep up with my couponing and save us so much on groceries!  That could cost us more than I would be making.

Now I'm a former science teacher myself, and I plan on trying to get a few evening tutoring sessions.  But, I have been intrigued by some websites I have found recently where you can get paid to write articles.  Now, it is very possible that I'm just way behind the times and everyone knows about this sort of thing but me.  (If that is the case, please email me and let me know what has worked out best for you!)  If this is news to you, then maybe you might be interested in this, too, so I thought I would throw it out there.

I came across several different sites, all having varying degrees of sign up processes.  Some you must apply and submit writing samples to, and I intend to do so soon.  I found one, however, with a very simple sign up process, and no writing samples needed--although that is painfully apparent reading through some of them =(...

This site is called Helium.  You can go check it out, if you would like.  If you've not heard about it and would like to give it a try, I would appreciate if you would send me your email address.  I can send you an email request through their site, and that is the only way I can get credit for referrals.
The site works like this:  You search through existing topics, and you find one you would like to write about.  Write it in Word.  Paste it in the form and submit it.  If there are other articles in the same category, they will be asked to be rated at random by members.  The more articles you have and the higher ranking you have can earn you stars.  The more stars you have the more you can earn per article up front.  You also can earn ad revenue on page hits, and this is the thing I like most about it because this is an ongoing thing that requires no extra effort on your part.

Now, please understand that I am not yet in a position to recommend this as a good and worthwhile site, as I've only been using it for 4 days and I've only written 3 articles.  They have earned more and more ad revenue each day, and I've now got a grand total of 26 cents sitting in my account!  If I get a star by the day they count up payments, then I should get a small amount per article as well.  I will certainly keep you posted about it how it is going.

If you would like to check out my articles you can visit my profile page here.  There is one in particular that may be of interest to you all.  That one is about how to organize coupons.   This is a topic I've been wanting to post on here, but have lacked time.  There are 8 total articles in that category so you can look through some of them while you are there as well, if you are interested.  Everyone has different ideas, so you may learn lots of new things!

I'm not expecting very much from this, but I find it kind of fun, and who knows...it may pay off much better than I thought.

Have any of you ever worked from home?  What did you do and was it worth it?  Leave a comment, and a link if possible, so we can all learn about more opportunities that exist.

In The Mail...Vacation Edition and Another Way to Earn

My husband made a trip to the post office today to pick up our mail that was being held for the past two weeks (after it was not delivered today as requested).  He came back with two grocery bags full of mail.  Of course, most of it was junk, but I am very happy to report that the free samples far outnumbered the bills. =)

Here is a picture of everything that he came home with today (click it to enlarge).

The check in the back is from an in-home product test that I did a few months back for J. Reckner Associates.  You can find out about them at that link, and if you wish to be a participant, you can register with them here.  I have done several studies for them over the past year or so.  I have always gotten a few different versions of the test product for free by mail, and then been emailed a survey to take about each version.  They pay by check, and its pretty slow (about 2 months post-survey), but they pay well.  This one was $30 to test 4 items, 1 per week, and then take the survey about each which took about 10 minutes.  I will add this site to my list of paying online sites that can be found under the Making Money Online link at the top.

FYI:  This company also has several focus group locations which are nowhere near where I live.  If you do live near one of them, you can probably make even better money by participating in person.

Another way to Earn Online: InboxDollars

I have added a new entry to the Making Money Online page.  I have listed InboxDollars.com, which is a site I have been a member of for quite some time.  The site offers a variety of ways to earn money, from paid emails, games, and surveys to cash back for completing offers and shopping through their portal.  You even get a $5 sign up bonus.  Depending on what you participate in on the site, you can earn either fast or slow.  I earn slow, since I usually only do the paid emails.  But, I am almost to the $30 payout level for the second time now, so I know that the money actually does come.  You do have to remain active on the site for 30 days after requesting the check before they will send it though.

One word of advice:  If you do choose to sign up for sites such as these, and other survey sites that I will list in the future, I suggest having a seperate email account specifically for this purpose so your other emails do not get lost in the mix.  You can set up a free online account with hotmail.com, yahoo.com, or gmail.com.

New Page: Making Money Online

I have had people ask me about some things that I have posted about, such as Swagbucks, and also other ways that I earn online.  I decided to make a page on my site dedicated to this topic.  Right now, there are only two sites listed:  Swagbucks.com and MySurvey.com.  I will add more to it as I have time.

I have also placed buttons to these sites on the left side bar of the page, and will add to them as I add to the page.  If you want to read more about them, you can always access the page by clicking on the Making Money Online link on the top right side of the page.

For those of you who get this page by email, here is what the page says: (sorry the links did not paste, so click to the page if you wish to visit the sites)

MySurvey.com is a survey company that will email you screener surveys to see if you qualify for longer surveys. They thing I like most about them is that even their screeners pay out a few points. They have just revamped their rewards system, so there are alot more items you can claim with your earned points. It used to be only checks.

Swagbucks.com is a search and win site powered by Google. Each time you search through their portal or their toolbar (get the toolbar!!!!) you have a chance to win Swagbucks which can be redeemed for prizes. They also release Swag Codes routinely, which can be entered on the site for specified amounts of Swagbucks. I am using mine to get Amazon.com gift certificates to use to purchase Christmas presents. I have been averaging about $10/month lately. Just for searching the web like I normally do, I think thats not too shabby. =)
