I love getting PGBrandsampler packages!

I love that the site lists all the things available, and you can choose as many or few as your want (I always choose them ALL), and then they send them all in a big box, so getting mail is extra fun that day!  I could smell the Unstoppables before I even got the box open!

They change the products quarterly, and allow you to request one every 3 months.  If it hasn't been long enough, the site will tell you exactly when to return when you log in. =)

In The Mailbox

I had a great mail day today, so I thought it was worthy of a full post instead of just a facebook status!  Here is what came in my mailbox today:

FREE Sample of Honey Nut Cheerios with $0.75/1 Coupon
Seeming random $2/1 Huggies Coupon from Walmart (has walmart logo)
FREE Fresh Express Coupon (and some $1 coupons) from Vocalpoint
LOTS of coupons from Kroger!!

Even several store coupons for completely FREE products.  I know some people get these from time to time, but this is the very first time I have EVER gotten these, and they are all for items I will use!  So exciting!

In The Mail 5/6

I had a pretty exciting mailbox day today.

Here is what I got:

--Free packet of tomato seeds from Red Robin
--Free sample of Clean and Clear Body Wash
--Free Coupon from Yoplait Kids yogurt
--$50 check for participating in an online community from an online survey site. (Is it bad that I honestly do not remember which one?)

I tell you this just to say that sometimes these can be very worthwhile!  I have gotten into local taste tests through online surveys before, even when the survey itself had no indication of any type of payment.  I don't have nearly as much time to take surveys now as I used to, but I still skim through my email and see if any interest me.  Sometimes I luck out!

I also received one more package in my mail today that I will be sharing with you very shortly.  I am very excited about it, and I'm sure you will be too...;)

In The Mail While We Were Traveling

I had quite a bit of mail while we were away.  I received a huge booklet of coupons from Proctor and Gamble from a rebate I had submitted a while back.  I got my free sample of Dove from Sam's.  I got my sample of Kashi GoLean Crunch and coupons from Vocalpoint.  I got my other FREE Excedrin coupon, and my $3.50/1 Excedrin coupon.  Plus, I received payment for two surveys I had completed: one was a $2 bill from a short survey (that I honestly do not recall taking), and the other was a $30 check for participating in a facewash product test last month.  I love doing those!

I had two other things in my mailbox as well, but they will get their own post in a bit. What have you gotten in the mail lately?

Mailbox Checks

My mailbox has been pretty slow lately.  I really hasn't warranted taking a picture in quite a while.  While this does make me sad, and I hope to soon have a mailbox day that is photoworthy, I have decided to try a little something different.  

For the past few days I have been posting what I have gotten (if anything) on my facebook page.  I thought this would make it easier for you to comment and for me to get to know some of you.  I would absolutely love for you to come and leave a comment each day letting us know what was in your mailbox, too.  I'd love to know if you guys are getting the offers that I post about.  And if you know of others, feel free to share those, too!

There was not much in my mailbox today, but there was one very exciting and unexpected piece of mail:

This is what was inside:

Yes,that says $3/1 Huggies diapers and $1.50/1 Huggies wipes.  And yes, these are CVS STORE coupons, so they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.  There is currently a $2/1 Huggies coupon on coupons.com that you can use along with this coupon to get $5 off one pack of diapers!

On Saturday I received another Crest toothpaste sample, this time the Pro-Health Clinical Gum Protection, with a few coupons.

Today, I received a full-sized Cover Girl lip gloss that I honestly do not even recall submitting for, so that was a nice unexpected surprise.

**Note:  I receive surveys from this company by mail, maybe once every 2-3 months, sometimes less often.  They used to come with $1 inside, then $2, now I'm getting longer ones with $5.  I'm hoping maybe if I keep sending them back in I'll start getting $20's...lol.

My mail has been really slow lately, but I got a few freebies yesterday.  Here they are:

I honestly do not remember signing up for this magazine, so I don't know if it was a full year subscription or just a couple issues.  This is the second one I've gotten.  Now I am not a huge fan of this woman, but I was surprised that many of the recipes in the magazine sounded really good.  Usually, the recipes in food magazines do not appeal to me at all.  So, I was pleasantly surprised flipping through it.  if I decide to try any of them I will tell you about it.

Today I got my Proctor and Gamble Brandsampler box in the mail that had a couple samples (Prilosec and Head and Shoulders) and several coupons.  The company has consolidated all of their sample and coupon offers into one large package that is mailed out.  You can pick as many of the available offers as interest you and they will be put into the box for you.  You can sign up to get your own here.  They are mailed out quarterly, so check back every few months--if you are too early the site will let you know (I can request another one on October 1st it says).  I also randomly got a coupon for a free pair of panties from Victoria's Secret...now if only I ever got to the mall.

In The Mail...Vacation Edition and Another Way to Earn

My husband made a trip to the post office today to pick up our mail that was being held for the past two weeks (after it was not delivered today as requested).  He came back with two grocery bags full of mail.  Of course, most of it was junk, but I am very happy to report that the free samples far outnumbered the bills. =)

Here is a picture of everything that he came home with today (click it to enlarge).

The check in the back is from an in-home product test that I did a few months back for J. Reckner Associates.  You can find out about them at that link, and if you wish to be a participant, you can register with them here.  I have done several studies for them over the past year or so.  I have always gotten a few different versions of the test product for free by mail, and then been emailed a survey to take about each version.  They pay by check, and its pretty slow (about 2 months post-survey), but they pay well.  This one was $30 to test 4 items, 1 per week, and then take the survey about each which took about 10 minutes.  I will add this site to my list of paying online sites that can be found under the Making Money Online link at the top.

FYI:  This company also has several focus group locations which are nowhere near where I live.  If you do live near one of them, you can probably make even better money by participating in person.

Here is some stuff I got in the past two days:  Two pull-ups from costca (??), suave shampoo from target.com, free Neti Pot from their facebook page (it said you could not recieve both the rinse bottle and the neti pot, but I did get them both), coupon for free Kraft cheesy explosion, and my All You magazine!!! filled with over $100 worth of coupons.  I have not had a chance to flip through it yet, but I will have a post on that soon too.  I also got a coupon (randomly) from CVS for a new Huggies diaper product that looks like blue jeans.  How cute is that for summer?

In the Mail 5/7

Today was the best mail day I've had in quite a while.  I got my brandsampler box from P&G which contained TONS of samples and coupons.  I also got the Year of Savings coupon booklet that they offered recently through mail in rebate with $50 purchase.  It contains $100 worth of coupons for P&G brands.  There were also a few samples I had requested from Walmart or Sam's.  Here's a picture of it all.

There were also a few things in my mailbox that were even MORE exciting than all of these samples.  Two of them were statements from Ashley Furniture showing a balance of $0.00 on our accounts.  Woohoo!

The other is something really special that deserves it's own post.  You can watch for that later today, and you will even have a chance to share in this one with me. ;)

This week, checking the mail has been pretty exciting.  On Monday, I received my Sample Showcase from the USPS that I told you about here.  Here is what was in it:

Then, on Tuesday I got all this stuff in the mail:

That red book is my free photo book from HotPrints.com that I told you about here.  The Earthgrains reusable bag was something that I had requested so long ago that I forgot about it completely, but when it finally came, it included a note apologizing for the delay and saying that they included an extra drawstring shoulder bag for our patience.  Nice!
