Resuming Survey A Day Challenge: Survey Spot

Since Thanksgiving, I've taken some time off from my survey-a-day challenge that I gave myself.  I was just too busy to take the surveys when they came, so I deleted them.  I know that's throwing away money and letting it go to someone else, so I'm trying to get back into my newly forming habit.

Today, I took and qualified for a 50 pt. survey from SurveySpot.  It took me just 10 minutes, and the questions were super simple.  I'm not halfway to being able to request a payout from them.

I've been a member of SurveySpot for quite sometime.  It's one of the sites that I get the most invites from.  I don't always qualify, but just receiving more frequent email invites makes your earning potential so much greater than the sites that email once a week or less.

This site used to offer only cash as a form of payment, but now they have an online webstore with many options to choose from.

Survey A Day Challenge: Valued Opinions

Tonight I had another survey from Valued Opinions waiting in my inbox.   It was for $2, and I qualified for it.  it said it would take 20 minutes, I do not think it took that long.

When I was done, it took my back to my account, where I found this:

I then remembered about the $1.50 survey I had pending from last week.  I wasn't expecting it to credit so soon!  I claimed my $20 voucher for Amazon, and the site said it would take up to 10 days for the code to get to me after I hit submit, but look what showed up instantly in my inbox!

I was so excited about how quickly it came.  This is a site that I'm relatively new to, so I was very, very pleased at how quickly the rewards could be earned, and especially how quickly they were sent!  We're talking seconds!

I highly recommend this company!  If you'd like to try it out, click the image below:

Survey A Day Challenge: My Survey

I did not qualify for any of the online surveys I had waiting today, *but* I recently was sent a survey by mail from MySurvey, which has been my absolute favorite survey site.

They have recently revamped their reward system, so they are many more options now than just Amazon, so that's pretty cool!  They have a really low $10 payout for most options, including many gift cards, and that is pretty easy to reach rather quickly.

Survey A Day Challenge: I Earned 20 Pts. From Opinion Outpost

Today I qualified for a survey from OpinionOutpost.  It has always been one of my very favorite survey sites, and when I was more actively taking surveys, it was very easy to earn rewards from them, and that seems to still be true.

I got an email invite from them (quite vague, unlike others--no points, no topic, no time length-but don't be turned off by that.):

I clicked it, and got little more information, but I know this to be a company that assigns fairly, if not generously, so I went with it.

Before too many questions, I realized that I had in fact qualified for this survey (its easy to tell when they get into subject matter).  This one was actually asking my opinion of several options of a cover of a new movie, and then a few about my technology usage in general.

Here's what I got when it ended:

What I like most about this site is that the points are added instantly (I earned 20 for this survey, added to the 58 I already had) and they give you a running total of points (I have 78 now) and sweepstakes entries, along with the next drawing date.

There are several cash out options with Opinion Outpost.  My favorite is Amazon, but they also have PayPal, Restaurant.com (not the best value, since there are always coupon codes), and a few other obscure options.

Cash out values are really low, 100pts ($10) for PayPal, and 50pts minumum ($5) for Amazon.  The cool thing about this site is that you can request any amount over $5 in Amazon.  I could put in my 78 points right now, and they would issue me a code for $7.80 rather quickly (i've seen them come within the hour, but within the day at least).

This is a very good option to quickly earn a few extra Amazon dollars to cover Christmas expenses.  There are many surveys available, and they keep asking if you wish to take another (plus you can always access more from you dashboard).  If you have a small block of time, you can qualify for several and earn a good bit in no time, depending on what are offered to you.  Be sure to fill in your profile!

Survey A Day Challenge: Valued Opinions (Updating My Profiles Worked!)

Yesterday, I told you about how I had updated my profile surveys on Valued Opinions.  Well, guess what I found waiting in my inbox?

That's right, a survey invitation!  The reward was $1.50, so if I qualified, that would get me to the payout threshold, so I went for it!

You can see how their emails clearly state the topic (however vague it may be HA!), as well as the reward and the amount of time you can expect to spend (usually an overestimation if you are a quick clicker!).

I went through this survey quickly, and I did qualify!  Woohoo!  Now my account still shows the $19 I had waiting yesterday, but I now have $1.50 pending!  (I hope not for too long!)

If you would like to sign up with Valued Opinions and begin earning money that can be cashed out for gift vouchers (currently available are: Amazon, Macy's, Visa, Mariot, Magazines.com, and FragranceNet), click on the image below to register:

Survey A Day Challenge: Ok, Ok...Maybe A Survey A Week???

I have had houseguests.  Two rounds of houseguests, three days apart to be exact.  Now don't get me wrong!  I absolutely love when family comes to visit us.  It gets a little lonely here without any relatives around (my husband and I both grew up amidst gobs of family members, so its a bit strange!).

I am, however, a very easily distracted individual.  Especially when I am actually getting to have adult conversation.  Thus, my survey taking, and blogging in general were a bit sparse the past couple of weeks.  Part of me wants to apologize for that, but the rational part of my brain is telling me that's just how life goes, and you all get that, and that's just the way it needed to be.  So no apologies.

It's a new week, with no distractions, and I'm ready to get things back to normal around my house (that means cleaning that  I let slide, too!) and around here on the blog.

So I went through the emails that I had from survey companies.  Many of them had already ended and I missed out.  Some of them tried to find me survey after survey to no avail.  The only one I had luck with today was SurveySpot.

I promised you guys an inside look into what to expect from these sites, but apparently I forgot to take a screen shot of this one.

I've been a member of this site for a long time.  I like it alot (aside from the cute little puppy dog mascot and paw prints).  They usually pay a pretty fair number of points for the length of their surveys, and will often (usually around the holidays, so sign up now and get ready) run special promotions where you can earn bonus points for every survey you take.  The rules change with each promotion, but they are one of the only sites, if not *the* only site that I've seen run this kind of offer.

I actually qualified and completed two quick surveys for this site tonight, one right after the other, and could have gone on taking more if I so desired.

I really enjoy the survey sites that send you right on to more earning opportunities.  They make it really simple to just sprawl out on the bed with the laptop or in front of the tv and just take surveys for a bit.

Surveys: Fill Out Your Profiles

I've been sharing my Survey A Day Challenge with you guys (and admittedly I've not had time to do one each day yet), but I thought I would spend a little bit of time talking about the importance of filling out your profile surveys.

This morning, I got a profile survey invite by email from Valued Opinions (I like it when they send email reminders about these things, or when they've created new profile surveys).  A few sites even offer points for filling these out so pay close attention.

I decided to log into my account and fill out this particular profile survey even though there were no points attached for two reasons:

  1. I like to keep my profile surveys filled in because they can better cater surveys to me and only send the ones I'm likely to qualify for.  When they create new profile surveys, it is usually actually a screener of sorts for a new set of surveys coming up in the near future, and your answers may pre-qualify you.
  2. I just wanted to see what my balance was in my account. (Honestly, I could not even remember the last time I had taken one of their surveys, and often if the points do not credit right away, I will come back and surprisingly be able to cash out.
When I logged in, I discovered two things that shocked me:
  1. I had $19 waiting in my account (I need $20 to cash out an Amazon certificate).  Sooo close!
  2. It said my profile surveys were only 24% complete (that's really not like me!)
It also said I had no available surveys waiting for me.  I thought that the best thing to do to help that along would be to fill out my missing profile surveys, which did not take long at all.

Now this is what I see in my account:

I'm hoping that little "there are no surveys available" line will be taken care of now that my profile surveys are complete.  Then I should be able to quickly earn my last needed dollar and cash out $20 more Amazon money!  (I showed you what I'm doing with that this morning!)

While I'm doing my Survey A Day Challenge, I'm going to try to remember to go in and check on profile completeness at each site!  It's very important in order to get the most (and most appropriate) surveys!

My Survey A Day Challenge: Today I Earned From Global Test Market

Yesterday I shared with you a brand new survey site and I told you that I had challenged myself to begin taking my surveys that are daily in my inbox.  I used to take nearly all the ones that came to me, but with blogging and a second child they sort of got pushed to the side.

They were a fun way to earn a little extra spending money, and it was always exciting when the checks came...even if they were for $2!  LOL.  Really fun is when full sized products show up at my door to test!  It's been a really long time since I've gotten to do that!

So I told myself that while my youngest was napping each day, I was going to take a bit of time out of cleaning/posting coupon deals to take a few surveys.  Now most of the ones that show up in my inbox, I will not qualify to complete, and those don't that very much time to screen out of.  So my challenge to myself is to take the short screeners until I qualify for at least one each day.  Sometimes, when you screen out of one, the survey company will automatically offer another to you.  That is what happened to me today.

This was in my email:

It took my about two seconds to find out that I did not qualify, and then this popped up:
Note that this one is offering more points and telling me how long it will take.  I began it and qualified for it.  I'm not sure if it took as long as stated because I was multitasking. ;)  But, I earned my 40 points!
Notice I was offered yet another survey, only this one did not offer points, only sweepstakes entries, so I opted not to continue with it.  Although I actually have won $100 in the past from a sweepstakes on a survey site (I don't even recall which one).

GlobalTestMarket has always been one of my favorite survey sites.  In the past they gave you 5 points for most surveys just for trying to qualify, and those actually added up quickly considering I get about 3 emails a day from them (you can opt for less).

Cash out is a check at $50 and it does take a while to get there, but they often offer longer online focus groups that pay point ranges equal to $20+, so those help speed things along.

Brand New Survey Site: OneOpinion

I've just come across a brand new survey company!  I really thought I knew of all of them that were out there, but I'd not heard of this one before, so I signed up!

One thing I like is that you automatically get a $5 sign-up bonus.  Once you validate your email address and take (or at least take a screener for) your first survey, you move up from new member to bronze level, at which point you can begin earning money.  The site does not specify what is required to move up to silver, gold, and platinum levels (all free, just based on activity level), but it does say that special privileges become unlocked when you reach those levels, so I'm interested to see what those are.

Once you reach $25 in your account, you can cash out for a pre-paid Visa card.  That's pretty handy, since you can use those just about anywhere!

If you'd like to give this new site a try with me, simply click on the image above to sign up and get started (remember to check your email and click the link they send!).

One of my goals for this month is to get back into taking surveys again (instead of just deleting all my survey emails that I receive daily).  I want to actually take a few surveys until a qualify for at least one.  Then I will be making at least a little bit of money everyday from surveys.  I intend to share with you which surveys are paying me and how much as I go along, so stay tuned!
